Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure that encourages the skin to renew and repair itself. The treatment involves the use of an electronic needling pen, which creates a series of controlled micro-injuries to the surface of the skin, What does this achieve? Well, once the body detects that it has sustained an injury (however miniscule that injury may be) it responds by repairing itself. To do this, it has to produce collagen and elastin - two vital components of healthy skin, which we produce less and less of as we continue to age.

Microneedling is great at inducing your body's own production of collagen and elastin. What can I expect during treatment?

We will cleanse the treatment area and apply an anaesthetic cream to reduce any discomfort. Using the Collagen P.I.N microneedling pen, your practitioner will make smooth, circular motions, during which the micro-needles will make tiny pin pricks into the dermis. The manufacturers note that Collagen P.I.N. application causes less damage to the visible outer layer of the skin than traditional dermaroller micro-needling, yielding quicker healing times and faster results. This causes the skin to regenerate itself in a naturally healthy way. Afterwards, there could be some redness and dryness, all of which reduce in the following days using our complimentary aftercare kit.

For best results we recommend a course of 3-6 treatments, spaced every 6 weeks.
