What skin conditions do peels target?

AlumierMD chemical skin peels can improve on the tone, texture and radiance of your skin.

They target acne; spotty skin; blackheads; open pores; fine lines; dull, dry, oily and combination skin; mild scarring from spots or acne; and pigmentation caused by solar rays and ageing.

We also offer neck and décolletage peels.
How do peels work?

Peels promote skin resurfacing by enabling the younger cells underneath to come to the surface.

When you are young, your skin cells renew themselves every 28 days; by the time you reach your 50s this process takes 50-60 days. Old skin cells trap oil and dirt creating dull, spotty skin lacking in radiance.

Anne, our GD Aesthetics skin specialist, will select the correct ingredients for your skin to break down dead skin cells on the surface and kick-start the exfoliation process.

The chemicals selected travel down into the deeper layer of your skin between the epidermis and dermis to create an extra layer, which then causes the outer layer to shed and bring new, fresh skin cells to the surface.
What makes our peels different?

They are medical grade, led by a medical professional. They are usually found in top London clinics such as in Harley Street and exclusive health clubs. All our staff have been highly trained at the AlumierMD Academy in London.

They are bespoke treatments, with the type of peel and all other masks and treatments included within your appointment being exclusively designed for your skin.

They are a comfortable treatment, which will fit in with your lifestyle. Downtime is minimal and only manageable, visible peeling will occur.
How will my skin feel look and feel afterwards?

You may or may not notice that your skin is peeling, but usually this takes place over 5 days; you may notice this starting at around 3 days in.

You may look a little pink directly afterwards, but you will also look fresh and clean. Your skin may feel a bit tight and dry, all perfectly normal, but we will give you a complimentary AlumierMD aftercare pack which you use exclusively for 5-7 days to alleviate this.
Is an AlumierMD peel painful?

No, clients usually only experience a tickle or warmth on the skin, which goes down after a short time.
How many treatments will I need and how often?

We recommend a course of 6 treatments usually 3-4 weeks apart for optimal results.
What is the aftercare?

It's simple, please just don’t wear any make-up for 24 hours and use the AlumierMD complimentary aftercare kit (worth (£20) only for 5-7 days. You can of course wear makeup after the first day.

The kit includes Sensicalm cleanser, a nourishing recovery balm which feels amazing, and a broad-spectrum physical SPF to protect your skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays. You use this kit am and pm.

The first step is to have a consultation with us, in which we’ll establish your skincare needs. This consultation process is completed during every appointment. Whether you have a skincare condition such as acne, pigmentation, rosacea or ageing, or you are looking to create healthy, better skin, we are here for you.

Your skincare specialist will recommend AlumierMD or ZO Skin Health home skincare products to compliment the skin peel systems. These will be customised individually to your skin, as the best results are obtained by having both peels and a medical-grade daily skincare routine. Think of this like a 50/50 system of delivery to allow you to get your best skin possible.

ZO Health Stimulator Skin Peel - £75

A bespoke treatment adapted to all skin types, with a no-peel effect, perfect if you don't wish to see visible flaking or peeling. Quick, comfortable and effective, the treatment takes only 45 mins to perform and will give your skin a beautiful boost. Perfect for that special event and to compliment your at home regime.

ZO 3 Step Peel - £195

A medium depth peel that is perfect for more advanced skin concerns such as stubborn pigmentation, acne, sun damage & advanced signs of ageing with fine lines and wrinkles. Downtime is just 5 days, but expect to peel with this one, in order to achieve incredible results.

AlumierMD peels

AlumierMD Radiant/Glow Peel - £95

Get beautiful glowing skin with our bespoke peels that address acne, open pores, loose ageing skin, blackheads, age spots, pigmentation, sun damage and dull, sallow skin. Anne, our highly experienced skin therapist has been working with AlumierMD for 5 years and we are a top rated provider for these peels. The exfoliation process takes place gently over 5-7 days. Price includes complimentary after care kit containing cleanser, moisturiser and SPF to be used over 5-7 days after your peel.

AlumierMD Radiant Glow for Face, Neck & Décolletage - £145
